Introducing the Katadyn Vario water purifier designed especially to combine individual efficiency with the simplest possible handling, removing chemicals, pesticides, bad taste and odor in water. 

The Vario contains three distinct filtering elements: ceramic disc prefilter; pleated glass fiber primary filter; and replaceable carbon core.  All three filter elements – ceramic, pleated, and carbon are replaceable.  If the water is extremely cloudy the ceramic pre-filter can be fitted in a moment in order to extend the service life of the glass fibre filter. 

The Katadyn Vario water purifier is compatable with most standard outdoor bottles and hydration bladders.  The 0.3 micron high surface area pleated glass fibre microfilter removes waterbourne bacteria and cysts, and viruses.  The backcountry water filters rely on one of two technologies: ceramic filtration and pleated fibre filtration.  The replaceable carbon core reduces chemicals, pesticides, bad taste in water and odors through the life of the cartridge.  It also keeps water tasting fresh and the multi-water adapter base makes it easy to fill any water bottle, container or bladder.
